Former ABS-CBN talent Christine "Tintin" Bersola-Babao has been guesting lately on GMA 7 shows. Reports say she is set to sign up with the kapuso network but someone is trying to block her entry into the network according to sources.

Tintin and husband Julius were among the casualties when "Magandang Umaga Bayan" was reformatted. Tintin and Julius were with the morning show for 10 years.

The Mari Mar pilot episode toppled "Deal or No Deal" last Monday, as viewers led the Marian Rivera TV starrer to a huge 36 percent viewer ratings share compared to the Aga Muhlach "Deal or No Deal" episode which garnered a reported 20-plus percent share.

The maiden episode of "Mari Mar" showed a fast-paced history of little Mari Mar and her parents portrayed by Jestoni Alarcon and Rita Avila. "Mari Mar" airs daily on GMA 7.

Angel Locsin Signs 2-year Contract with ABS-CBN

Angel Locsin finally inked a 2-year contract with ABS-CBN Saturday (August 11) at the function room 14th floor of ELJ Building after several weeks of resting in the US and London.

Present during the contact signing were ABS-CBN Executive Vice President Ms. Charo Santos-Concio, Malou Santos of Star Cinema, Cory Vidanes, Angel and her manager, Becky Aguila.

Angel signed a 2-year contract but ABS-CBN and the camp of Angel has refused to divulge the amount involved in the contract. Sources said Angel will start in a fantasy-drama series with Piolo Pascual. The title of the project is reportedly "Taong-Lobo" that will be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina

The shooting is set this month but the target date for airing of Taong-Lobo will be October.


For the first time, Angel will answer all of the issues hurled against her since the information about her transfer to ABS-CBN broke out. She will do an exclusive interview with Boy Abunda on the Buzz tomorrow.

Aga Muchlach turns 38

Aga Muhlach will be turning 38 tomorrow (Aug. 12) and he wanted a quiet birthday celebration with his family (wife Charlene Gonzales and twins Andres and Athasia) that will start with him attending mass.

Aga will have a free day Monday so he decided to bring his family in his farm in Mataas na Kahoy, Batangas but he needs to be back on Tuesday to attend the premier night of his movie "A Love Story" (with Maricel Soriano and Angelica Panganiban).

"Sana tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang magagandang nangyayari sa buhay ko. I'm also looking forward na magsama-sama lahat ng artista at hindi 'yung nahahati sa dalawang giant networks. Mas maganda kung makakapagpromote pareho sa dalawang networks," said Aga when asked about his birthday wish.

On Aug. 16, he will be going to Bicol for his post-birthday celebration. He will do his favorite sport now, which is wakeboarding, with friends. Of course Charlene will be there with Mom Elvie and some relatives.

He's looking forward to doing a movie with Angel Locsin now that the Darna star is a full-pledged Kapamilya.

Is Ruffa and Yilmaz in Reconciliation Mood?

Yilmaz Bektaz made a surprise visit to the Philippines, arriving at NAIA last Friday on board an Emirate flight. Everyone was surprised. Yilmaz swore to high heavens he will not set foot in the Philippines following their heated argument with Ruffa Gutierrez and her mom Annabelle.

Yilmaz was fetched at the airport by Anabelle herself, with Yilmaz's daugthers Lorin and Venice. Ruffa was not around because of work. What was more intriguing was the rumor that Yilmaz didn't check in in a hotel but instead went to the Gutierrez's residence in Forbes Park.

With this recent development, we can only assume that Ruffa and Yilmaz are now in reconciliation mood. Or are they really?
